Consumer PR and communications specialist Wild West has announced its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp). This rigorous year-long certification process covers the entirety of a business’ operations, ensuring the highest social and environmental standards are met.
Wild West joins a global group of companies reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit. Other companies in the illustrious B Corp community include Patagonia, Abel & Cole, Ella’s Kitchen and Innocent.
With offices in Truro and Bristol, Wild West is the sister company to London based consultancy Wild Card. The two businesses are currently in the process of being merged together and Wild Card will be starting the B Corp accreditation process shortly.
Wild Card was founded by Kate Wild in 2000, with Wild West opening its doors in Truro in 2008 and Bristol in 2016. Under Managing Director Georgie Upton, the consultancies specialise in PR, social and digital communications for leading food, drink, lifestyle and leisure brands. Long standing clients include names such as Highland Spring, Tilda, Ginsters, New York Bakery, Tetley Tea, Watergate Bay Hotel and Eden Project.
“B Corp is a business game changer for us,” explains Georgie Upton. “Our mission is to do better business brilliantly and this accreditation marks a watershed in the company’s development. The B Corp journey has been a formative and challenging process covering all areas of our business from governance, to team working, community, environment and of course our clients. Certification is a reflection of our exceptional team and we are extremely proud to now be part of the B Corp community.”
