In PR, the preparation for Christmas begins a lot sooner than for most. Though for family-run Copas Traditional Turkeys in Berkshire, who deliver over 25,000 of the finest turkeys to households across the UK in one day, planning begins almost as soon as Christmas is over.
However, with nearly 60 years’ experience the artisan producers have the poultry production and delivery of the forage-fed, free range and 14-day game-hung pampered birds down to an art.
The captivating Copas story was brilliantly illustrated in the Telegraph Magazine Best of British feature. This significant profile sits alongside over 25 top-tier national broadcast, print and online pieces on Copas that the Wild West team has secured this year – including Foodism, Food Unwrapped and Radio 2 – and resulted in a significant boost in website traffic and sales for the poultry pros.
As our second year of overseeing the Christmas food PR for Copas draws to an end, we catch up with Copas director, Sarah Copas – who featured in Stylist’s special Christmas issue – bravely submits to our first ever Wild West Quick Draw Q&A, a new series delving into the world of a Wild West friend, be it one of our clients, a journalist or blogger, to find out what motivates them, what they love about their job, and the challenges their sector is facing.
